Our Story
In January of 2023, a small group of dedicated engineers, physicists, and doctors recognized that current CT machines' shortcomings could be solved with contemporary engineering tools, existent manufacturing methods, and modern electronics and computing technologies. Over the course of only a year, this knowledgeable team was able to quickly produce a pair of imaging platforms that were able to demonstrate the awe-inspiring ability of a modern CT system.
This same group of innovators has an eye on the future, and is currently working toward honing their technology and pursuing widespread commercialization.
Join Our Team!Our Technology
Ultra-Fast
The patent pending Nautilus Imaging Platform is a foundational breakthrough in advanced magnetic field design and state-of-the-art electron beam control. Full CT projections are able to be generated nearly instantaneously without the need for a rotating X-Ray source.
In ultra-fast mode, our imaging speed has already demonstrated a throughput of 30 CT volumetric images per second. Frame rates of this magnitude cannot be matched by any commercially available CT hardware.
In either normal or ultra-fast mode, the Nautilus Imaging Platform is capable of producing high X-Ray flux with demonstrated currents of up to 1000 mA, comparable to any general-purpose diagnostic CT.
Ultra-Compact and Lightweight
Another inherent advantage of this Nautilus Imaging Platform is that it allows for an extremely compact and light-weight CT system. This makes perfect for mobile applications, such as, to address the unmet need of rural use (miniaturized, ruggedized, with less power supply), than currently available CT technologies.
Rapid Innovation
At Nautilus X-Ray Inc. we practice rapid innovation. Below are benchmarks achieved with our current prototype, as well as the goals for the next prototype scheduled to be demonstrated during Q3 of 2024.
Unlimited Potential
Upon consistently demonstrating performance that is comparable to, or better than, conventional CT, the Nautilus Imaging Platform will transform the entire field of CT imaging. This technology is synergetic with other state-of-art technology innovations, such as photon counting detectors, dose reduction, AI, as well as software-based technologies. It will serve as key enabling platform technology for multiple scalable CT applications from general-purpose CT, to cardio-vascular diagnostic CT, to more specialized applications such as emergency room (ER) / operating room (OR) CT, and miniaturized vehicle-based CT.
